Han habido protestas, movimientos y movilizaciones por parte de la gente para que las máximas potencias pongan fin a este problema. Las Naciones Unidas se han reunido en Madrid en 2019, siendo la numero 25. La mayoría de personas buscan un culpable y el principal candidato es el capitalismo.
El capitalismo lidera en casi todas las grandes potencias mundiales, siendo así un sistema económico que busca producir la máxima cantidad posible. Es por eso que es el principal señalado por este problema. Ya que las empresas son uno de los causantes del cambio climático a causa de sus emisiones.
